Escaramuza
Escaramuza combines riding, coordination and tradition. Riders use sidesaddles and perform coordinated exercises in the circular arena.
A discipline of its own
Escaramuza has its own rules, routines and judging criteria. It belongs to Charrería alongside the nine suertes; it is not one of those nine events.
Riding sidesaddle
Both legs are placed on the same side of the horse. The albarda and the rider’s position support balance and control.
Attire and coordination
Dress, sombrero and tack are part of the regulated presentation. Watch the spacing, crossings and timing among riders.
